Hello, A.J... thanks for the review. One assertion didn't sit quite right with me, and I wanted to offer some clarification. I created Bison Bridge as a fictional band specifically for this book, because while I love intertwining lyrics and prose, I couldn't get clearance (or afford) to use most established artists' songs. As you probably noticed, I had to be strategic with the Springsteen references!
After the book was written (the same month it was published, in fact), I thought it might be fun to actually record those songs, so readers could hear them, and those songs made their way into the world a couple of months after the book was published. I wasn't 'working my own band' into the story... the band simply didn't exist at the time. And while my style of writing may not have been your cup of tea, I do appreciate that you acknowledged the importance of the message. Again, thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts on the book.
