I would keep reading. I’ve bumped into those spots a couple of times. I wasn't sure if it was a simple misstep or a clever maneuver to reengage the reader with a surprise behavior from the MC. Either way, I kept going, primarily to learn as I continued to trudge through writing my first book. Thanks for sharing!
Hi Chuck! That sloppy chapter was just that. But I am glad I kept reading. I will likely read the next book in the series, too, as long as it starts well.
