Man oh man I feel like a kid at Christmas. Come on November 5!
I am so excited for this book. I love that Maddie will finally be a main character as a cop. The Harry Bosch series has been my favorite since I first saw the prime show series Bosch. When I realized that it was based on a book series, I became obsessed. I went searching for all of the books that I could find and am on my last book now. It never takes me long to read these books because they are so interesting. Michael Connelly is a fantastic story writer. He has become one of my absolute favorite authors.
Can't wait... it will be so awesome to have these three together again! I've been a Michael Connelly fan for 30 years and have loved every book. Hope they continue to tell the 'Bosch' story on Prime for many more years.

I've loved following Bosch through the years. From getting text messages on his pager and having to find a payphone, to trying to sort out technology with the help of a new generation. I've enjoyed the universe expanding to include Mickey. I loved being surprised by Maddie's existence and then growing up and growing into a main character herself. Ballard has also been a great addition, too, who doesn't need Bosch to carry a book on her own, but it's a lot of fun having them together. I appreciate how each of their relationships with each other feel real and grounded. I once worried about Bosch's end of watch, and while I'm still concerned, I know the Connellyverse is in good hands with Mick, Ballard, and Maddie.
Connelly has been a favorite for a long time because he's a hell of a writer. Hell of a podcaster too. He just keeps smashing them out of the park.
