Elizabeth Blake Good tips! (Although brutal.) LOL. I'm so sorry you weren't a fan. But it is worth pointing out that Death only watched over Isabel at her mother's request, and that he could not feel human emotion, did not understand love, and was nothing but an omniscient observer of Isabel (and all mankind) until he realized that the reason he did not wish for her to die was because the world would seem much darker without her in it.

The reasoning for your quote above is because he was well-aware she was destined to die young and understood that he would soon return to guide her departing soul to the after life. However, along with your review, taken out of context, I agree, it could sound funky. These, however, are common themes in immortal/human romances. I see them often in vampire romance. :) But can understand if it wasn't your thing. Thanks for giving it a shot!

Carol Bosselman Reading this now and fully agree. It's very hard to get around his "creep" factor.
