Just between us, I’m preparing a sequel to my modern retelling of Pilgrim’s Progress titled Kristian’s War. I would love to send you a free digital copy for review (I wish I could send everyone hard copies, but that’s gotten prohibitively pricey at the moment!)
A major way Kristian’s War diverges from the original is that in the first story, Pilgrim’s Progress deals with Christian’s story mainly in the first volume, but I was interested in the story of his wife from the get-go, so mine jumps back and forth between the wife and husband. I should mention too, although I draw on my experience as a Marine Corps officer to make the action exciting (without gore), the level of violence doesn’t go beyond say a Lord of the Rings or Last Battle.
If you’re interested in reviewing Kristian’s War, please let me know how best to get you a digital copy. And if you’re interested in reading the sequel when it comes out later this year, I’d love to hear about that too!
