I would think that most readers would prefer the version of the Bible that they are accustomed to reading. We all read a translation. Jesus and His disciples spoke Aramaic. The Old Testament was written mostly in Hebrew with some in Aramaic. The New Testament was written in Koine Greek. For many centuries, due to the power of Rome, the Bible was written in Latin. Luther wanted people, many of whom did not know Latin, to be able to read the Bible in their own language, so a German translation was prepared. (It is interesting that some Catholics continue to prefer attending Mass conducted in Latin.) The Puritans established schools to educate their children so they could read the Bible in order that they not be deluded by "the old deluder Satan". I would suggest that readers study one command a day, and as part of that study, they compare the language used in their translation with that of the KJV. .
