I was kindly (and anonymously) reminded that there is a 3rd way to fight negative-star ratings: by buying professional review services! "Just go to Reedsy-dot-com," I was told. I'm sure there are millions of websites like that. Google the topic and see the avalanche of offers. In the past, this was considered low, selfish, and even crafty. Today, however, there's an official Book Review Industry. "Fight fire with fire," I guess is the name of the new game.

Dear friends, fans, and family, thank you for the million comments and support in this great issue of social misunderstanding. I greet you all with Youtube/watch?v=gdVjVtpr55M
Just go to Aboutamazon-dot-com/news/policy-news-views/how-amazon-is-working-to-stop-fake-reviews and try to raise awareness about "silent hate speech reviews" if you can ;-(
Go to Nytimes-dot-com/2023/11/13/technology/fake-reviews-crackdown.html - and let me know if you see any solution for this modern-day menace!
I just received an anonymous email: "We live among cowards who only complain about everything and never do anything to stop real Internet crime. However, please know that NOBODY wants to be targeted in response to your Goodreads article and that's why we all are afraid to leave a comment or react accordingly. We are silently with you in this fight, but I'm afraid you are a Lone Ranger, sadly back in the saddle alone. Trust me, we all suffer from fake news and fake reviews, living in a bastardized civilization that had long surpassed the corruption of ancient Rome. Your True Anonymous Fan." Thanks, bro/sis, whoever you are. As someone said somewhere, "One singing bird does not make the Spring." ;-)
Someone just told me to Google "guy negative reviews," so here is one of the many links: Startup-dot-info/buy-negative-google-reviews/ - 5 BEST SITES TO BUY NEGATIVE REVIEWS. Why? How can this be even legal? This is like a permit to buy a tank or a bomber that drops crap on anyone and anything! ;-(
According to Goodreads Review Guidelines, (at Goodreads-dot-com/review/guidelines): "Goodreads is for expressing your honest opinions about books. Don't be afraid to say what you think about the book! We welcome your passion, as it helps the millions of other readers on Goodreads learn what a book is really about, and decide whether or not they want to read it." And yet, there are reviews without words all over the site--just 1-star-underratings, made to undermine certain books as "controversial" or plain "hated."
