I'm grateful for your comments, and agree that American hospitals are generally top-flight, though unfortunately I recently saw one of the best ERs on the West Coast (UCSF) misdiagnose and nearly kill my own brother. I don't recall disparaging pharmacists or nurses in the book, my few negative comments about NPs and PAs come straight from my patients, and you might check out an October 2022 MedPageToday article about EMR, and the Lown Institute and my own blog about greed, overuse, and other serious issues in American medicine.
