Eden Larsen I'm not sure why you decided it was okay to personally attack my writing style. I'm also not sure why you posted 2 completely different reviews for this story (one here and one on Amazon). I'm also not sure why you didn't realize prior to reading that this was a "short story". I've removed you from my ARC team because of the personal attack.

Not that I owe you anything, but I set up the story to have two parts because I needed to be able to tell the rest of the story from another character's perspective. Not that you care, seeing as authors shouldn't purposely plan out sequels. I'm so grateful to authors who plan out sequels to tell a complete story. We wouldn't have Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, heaven forbid I say Twilight, Hunger Games, and many many others that happen to be on your favorite books list. My "books" just happen to be short stories. Get over it.

And I never actually came out and said in the book how Riley paid for her sessions. In many areas, if a person self-pays, the therapist doesn't have to deal with insurance and can get them into an earlier appointment. And Riley's realization about relationship concerns were not because of Dean, they were because of her own issues.

If you must know, in my original draft, Riley and Dean have a full on relationship while he treats her. I changed it to what it is now because of the ethical reasons and included that in the story. Her first appointment with Dean lasted 20 minutes because Jodi saw how attracted he was to Riley. Jodi was helping him to not cross any ethical boundaries that he couldn't come back from.

Apparently, my characters needed to be fully functional adults without any issues. Also, I don't think clean contemporary romance is your favorite genre. Looking at the other reviews you've written, they are mostly paranormal/fantasy. Maybe next time, contact the author before attacking them on a public forum.
