Timc I have never been able to understand or appreciate "modern art". Give me a Caravaggio or Rembrandt any day. How can any art produced today compare with "Deposition" or "The Last Judgment" or "Whistlejacket". Compare the skill of Rubens' "The Fall of the Damned" with a spray gun from Jackson Pollock. The art of the Masters make me feel emotions. The art of the modern "artists' makes me wonder how they received any type of consignment. I could go on and on. I would rather spend time admiring a Tintoretto or an early Picasso. I have tried and tried to find some enjoyment or admiration in modern art. I must just be a classicist at heart.

Tyler Colins LOL ... Now, YOU should be an art critic. I like the classics and can certainly admire them for their beauty and complexity. But Picasso and cubism and experimental art caught my eye back when ... ;)
