~Betty June~ I really am stuck in a bit of a slump, and want to read a nice, fastpaced fantasy that maybe has romance? I'm not super picky, so feel free to go crazy!

gabby Threads That Bind? It's a dystopia/fantasy by Kika Hatzopoulou with a romance sideplot. The sequel to it was also released today!

Almaaa Powerless by Lauren Roberts!

Percy :) defy the night by Brigid Kemmerer has some awesome twists and turns and a good romance plot too!

Emmy When I was in a reading slump I picked up “Sorcery of thorns” by Margaret Rogerson. It is a fantasy with a strong female lead and it has some romance elements to it as well! I enjoyed it.

message 9: by Ghislaine (new)

Ghislaine Taellaneth Complete Series (Books 1-5) by Vanessa Nelson Is a great fantasy series that has a slow burn romance. It is one of my favorite fantasies after Medair (Medair, #1-2) by Andrea K. Höst . Hope this is helpful.

»-daly (leaving)→ I saw people mention Kingdom of the Wicked and Powerless and those were both FANTASTIC and worth a shot for SURE 👍

Ramiya The folk air series!

also, lets be friends <3

message 12: by Phill (new)

Phill Featherstone You could try my Leopard's Bane series. Two brothers struggle to succeed their father in a mythical corrupt city ruled by wealthy men, where women are just property. Then one of them meets a girl and things take a whole new direction. These books are great - but then, I would say that, wouldn't I!! The series starts with The Poisoned Garden

Roxy Song of Silver, flame like night is a really good fantasy duology. (The prequel is dark star burning ash fall white). It is a fantasy xianxia but it is also romance too!

The entire Grishaverse book series by Leigh Bardugo

message 19: by Lynne (new)

Lynne Stringer Everything Juliet Marillier writes is brilliant. I especially love Heart's Blood. Heart's Blood by Juliet Marillier

Jeanette O'Hagan's books are also good.
Akrad's Children (Akrad's Legacy, #1) by Jeanette O'Hagan

So is N.R. Eccles-Smith.
Kin Seeker (Dragon Calling #1) by N.R. Eccles-Smith

Maureen Vercruysse My two favorite series from 2022

The House of Devils series by Kayla Edwards. It’s modern, urban fantasy with romance. The FMC is a mortal chick living in a world of supernatural beings who have it out for her. And when a bounty Hunter gets a deal to find her….

The Crowns of Nyaxia series by Carissa Broadbent. A vampire raising a mortal child in vampire culture and religion? Vincent and Oraya are the most complicated father and daughter ever. Oraya is going to find her place in the world even if it actually kills her.

Elena Powerless had me HOOKED is YA but has a great balance of romance vs plot! Tension is heavy the entire book filled with angst and character development. (Because who doesn’t love a girl boss MFC?!)
