Hi Pam! Lovely to see you here! Indeed, the book is really amazing & I hope to visit the second book in the series some day soon. I'm usually not a big fan of following a series in line & stuff, in fact I have a tendency to read a series mid-way then backwards a bit etc., but this book was really epic. No kidding! I always felt you were around my age, probably younger by five years or so. You are indeed so 'young at heart' (as my spiritual director the good Deacon Ivan always says, he is Gen X), vibrant & exuberant. This I especially see in your book reviews. Hope the nuns treated you well, they did not treat me well at all when I was a young adult & then that convinced me even more that I should join their ranks, & I did! Your time in the mid-20th century was amazing, especially after the Sexual Revolution & the Feminist Revolution of the 1970s. I wish I was born at least in the 1960s or 1970s, but I am such an unlucky brat of a Millennial - & I don't like it at all! I want to be a Boomer!!! (Fiza wails, very uncharacteristically of her, she usually makes other people wail!) Lucky you Pam, will have to learn a lot from you as the days go by, I do so love Boomers - my family is full of them & they are as wacky as they are wise. Hope we don't have to face a nuclear war, I can't imagine what you must have felt at that time in 1962 & the preceding years! Hope that the spirit of the Boomer Years lives on, because if we have to depend on Gen Alpha's 'intelligence'.......just kill me right now!!! Lots of love Pam! From your fellow Boomer at heart! I refuse to be a Millennial! :) :D

Hi Christie! Lovely to see you here! Yes, it was amazing & you should check it out too whenever you get the leisure to do so. It kept me entertained every night after Matins (I'm a Catholic nun) & before bed-time. And yes, I love poetry actually & read a nice collection whenever I wish to feel a bit uplifted or when I feel that romance is in the air (for other people around me, not me because I'm banned from being a romantic!). So will be checking yours out ASAP, I'm keen on some great stuff in verse! Have an amazing weekend! Do keep smiling, you have a lovely smile indeed! Fabulous review, Fiza. I have wanted to read this book for awhile. This author is one I have enjoyed reading in the past. Love the 60's setting. Need to move this one up!🥰
