I was so invested in "Fish and Flowers." I felt angry for Joan and just wanted her to be seen! It's definitely a story that I will go back to as my relationship with my siblings and mother evolves.
Also, happy to see that your book is at an LA public library. I tried to borrow your book prior to buying a copy and couldn't locate it anywhere!

I love "Fish and Flowers", too, and very few readers mention that story. For me being an only child, the story allowed me to explore the tender relationship between sisters that I never had. Thank you for bringing the story to the forefront in your review.
