Isabelle is stuck in a rut. She had hoped studying robotics at a nationally renowned STEM academy would open a world of possibilities. Instead, she finds herself barely keeping her head above water, mired in the ordinary, everyday grind.
When an encounter with an obnoxious bully upsets her routine and forces her off her usual path, Isabelle and her two best friends stumble across a mysterious object that grants them otherworldly abilities. Saddled with the burden they don't understand and power they can barely control, they do the only thing that makes sense: they become amateur superheroes. (Naturally.)
As Isabelle and her friends struggle to keep their metamorphoses secret, a disgraced astrophysicist seeks them out to warn them that by accepting these newfound abilities, they've sealed the doom of an entire alien species. In a race to undo the xenocide before it's too late, Isabelle must confront both earthly and extraterrestrial forces who would stop at nothing to take the power for themselves. Isabelle soon realizes that being a hero will require a lot more than just having powers.
