message 1: by Gertie (new)

Gertie Any binge-worthy shows you are into these days?

message 2: by Gertie (new)

Gertie I just finished Silo, which was as good as I hoped, and am currently watching Invasion which I'm enjoying.

Love a good alien or space show.

message 3: by Fred (new)

Fred Schwarz Silo is very good. I just finished Fallout, which is also good.

message 4: by Nancy (new)

Nancy Just finished Ripley on Netflix. It was really good.

message 5: by Ariel (new)

Ariel Palenik(TheDayDreamingWriter) Moonknight + The Black Phone!

Love them both…

message 6: by Erin (new)

Erin Finishing the final season of Warriors. I like the show, the last season has been a bit meh. Hopefully the series finale makes up for it.

message 7: by Kandice (new)

Kandice I've been having trouble concentrating on reading so have binged a lot of shows over the last month or so that were great. Fallout, Baby Reindeer, Shogun, and Dead Boy Detectives. They have little in common but were all good in their own way. Baby Reindeer is NOT for everyone, and nothing on screen has ever made me more uncomfortable.

I'm planning on watching Ripley next.

message 8: by Charlton (new)

Charlton Shogun, Masters of the Air, Manhunt

message 9: by Gertie (new)

Gertie Fallout is really good, so strange, and somehow not as dark as it "ought" to feel because it's so surreal and, not nostalgic exactly, but the vintage styling makes it less real so the unsettling stuff is not as troubling as it would ordinarily be.

message 10: by Lupe (new)

Lupe Dominguez Just finished Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous on Netflix. Just in time for Chaos Theory in a couple weeks haha.

message 11: by Erin (last edited May 03, 2024 06:22AM) (new)

Erin Finished Warriors, still a bit underwhelming. I think the show was better off just having two seasons. Trying to find something that will stick, I wasn't much into Ripley or Dead Boy Detectives. I have Black Sails and Breaking Bad as ones to give a try.

I wish some of my Max shows were back already (House of Dragons, Last of Us, The Gilded Age).

message 12: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer I enjoy Slow Horses (waiting for another season) . Constellation was good. Invasion, Foundation. Now watching Silo.

message 13: by Erin (new)

Erin Watching Bodkin on Netflix, seems interesting so far.

message 14: by Charlton (new)

Charlton Watching Dead Boys Detectives. Spiderwick Chronicles. Interview with a Vampire. Fallout.

message 15: by Erin (new)

Erin Charlton wrote: "Watching Dead Boys Detectives. Spiderwick Chronicles. Interview with a Vampire. Fallout."

Not sure how I feel about Interview With the Vampire now, doesn't seem as interesting as season 1.

I like that this season seems to be taking place in Europe.

message 17: by Lupe (new)

Lupe Dominguez I need to start Interview with a Vampire, I hear it's really good. I just saw the new teaser trailer drop for The Sandman season 2 on Netflix and I'm STOKED.

message 18: by Gertie (new)

Gertie I keep forgetting about that show! (vampire)

message 19: by Karen (new)

Karen I've recently stumbled across Falling Skies. It *only* lasted 5 seasons, won an award, and yet I've never even heard of it.

message 20: by Gertie (new)

Gertie That's funny! Yeah it was on one of the "regular" channels I think? I liked that one a lot.

message 21: by Erin (new)

Erin Wow, Falling Skies! Haven't heard that show name in awhile. I think it might have been on TNT/USA, something like that.

message 22: by Charlton (new)

Charlton I started watching Franklin on Apple+, Knuckles on Paramount and We Were the Lucky Ones on Hulu.

message 23: by Gertie (new)

Gertie I'm watching Sugar on Apple tv. Waiting for the sci-fi aspect to be apparent/explained.

message 24: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer Erin wrote: "Wow, Falling Skies! Haven't heard that show name in awhile. I think it might have been on TNT/USA, something like that."

OH I kinda remember that. What is that on now ??

message 25: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer I have been watching Ripley and the Jinx.

I think MAX has the series.

message 27: by Kandice (new)

Kandice I've been rewatching Battlestar Galactica.

message 28: by Gertie (new)

Gertie I saw an episode or 2 of Dark Matter, hoping I can watch it all before my Apple TV expires.

message 29: by Charlton (new)

Charlton Gertie wrote: "I saw an episode or 2 of Dark Matter, hoping I can watch it all before my Apple TV expires."

Good to hear positive feedback, Gertie. I was debating on that series after I finish Franklin. Which I like but I like the historical aspect.

message 30: by Gertie (new)

Gertie It's interesting (so far). I liked the book too.

message 31: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer Kandice wrote: "I've been rewatching Battlestar Galactica."

I heard it was on Prime ?

message 32: by Erin (new)

Erin I'm watching the limited series A Man In Full on Netflix.

message 33: by Kandice (new)

Kandice Jennifer wrote: "Kandice wrote: "I've been rewatching Battlestar Galactica."

Yes, but only the series (2004). I couldn't find the TV movie which was the precursor. I saw it when it aired, but I would like to have watched it before starting the series again.

I just started watching this, too. Clearly set in a parallel world, not a direct extrapolation of our real reality. That helps make it seem less a grim warning, and more clearly a form of satirical entertainment. I'm also relieved I don't have to have experience with the video game it's based on.

message 35: by Charlton (new)

Charlton I'm watching the one season of 2007 "The Dresden Files".
I found it on Tubi.

message 36: by Gertie (new)

Gertie I wish that series had gone on. I like the book series.

message 37: by Erin (new)

Erin Watching Your Honor on Netflix, originally aired on Showtime. Pretty good so far.

message 38: by David (new)

David McLeod's Daughters on Tubi. It's an Australian series that draws you in. My wife and I are hooked on it.

message 39: by Gertie (new)

Gertie Last night I had trouble finding something I wanted to watch, so I pulled up the first episode of Stargate Atlantis. I guess it's time for a rewatch.

message 40: by Yvonne (new)

Yvonne Lockett I've just started Bridgerton

message 41: by Nancy (new)

Nancy Dark Matter on Apple TV.

message 42: by Vanessa (new)

Vanessa Reis "House of cards" on Netflix; resumed season 4, where I stopped watching some years ago.

message 43: by Lisa (new)

Lisa Harnish Just binged "My Lady Jane" on Amazon Prime. Fun! If you like paranormal (shifter) romance combined with alternative history stories (spiced with a lot of modern sensibilities about gender roles), this is worth checking out.

message 44: by Charlton (new)

Charlton @ Lisa, haven't watched it yet, so glad to hear you liked it.

I have just started Orphan Black Echoes.

message 45: by Ashley (new)

Ashley Really loved Interview With The Vampire seasons one and two.

message 46: by Charlton (new)

Charlton @ Ashley, Saw the series and cannot agree with you more. And completely thrown by the correct director of the play.

message 47: by Erin (new)

Erin Watching Tulsa King, CBS is airing the first season.

message 48: by Charlton (new)

Charlton Watching the last season of Snowpiercer on AMC+.

message 49: by Erin (new)

Erin Started Black Sails on Netflix

message 50: by Gertie (new)

Gertie I have been rewatching shows lately, ones that I used to enjoy. I watched Stargate Atlantis, and now I'm watching Angel.

My memory isn't amazing so if enough time has passed I can watch it and it's sort of new, but with the knowledge that I enjoyed it before lol.
