I love Bill Bryson, but I struggle to finish many of his books. I’m all in for the first half, and then the energy seems to fizzle. I remember having that issue with A Short History of Nearly Everything and The Body, and probably this book as well (although I remember Katz being a great “character”).
Yeah that’s exactly how I felt! The narrator was great though, especially when Katz was involved - he was such a liability 😅
