Thank you, Jen for your honest review. I can use it to build upon my second and hopefully third books.

I will take on board your comment about the last section being too busy, and even out the peak of the story arcs for future stories.

I didn't want to go heavy in character origins in the first book, as I wanted to reflect on Dirk and his teams’ experiences as they deal with the supernatural for the first time. But in the second book (a sequel), I’m adding more background to reoccurring characters within the story.

With the horror part of the story, I was perhaps a little too conscious as it was my first novel and held back, but the second is going to be a little darker with this element and more fleshed out (fingers crossed).

I look forward to the next book! Will it be a continuation of this story? Or will Dirk and co. be facing something different?

Each book will be a stand alone story, with Dirk as the main character, with elements of continuation to help flesh out the characters more. I hope that makes sense.
