Hi Stephanie,If you upload an image to which you own the copyright to your Goodreads profile and link here, we can use it
Amazon pictures are fine when enlarged. Remember that the image will be reduced to the cover size used on Goodreads, so your ultra high resolution photo isn't going to matter.
Hi Ma,How would that meet the requirements for acceptable sources?

I've been searching through posts and comments to try to find the right way to request my cover be updated. When I originally created the listing on Amazon, I did not have the final cover yet. It automatically populated into Goodreads with the placeholder. I was hoping it would automatically update with the final cover once I added it onto Amazon, but that hasn't happened. Could you tell me how to go about getting the cover updated? Here's the Amazon listing for clarification.

That's not the record you were linking to in your initial post. I have removed the placeholder for the edition described in msg. #7 and you can upload the real cover now.

I jumped in on a thread that was similar to my question to find clarification instead of creating a new post. But you fixed my problem - the correct cover is now showing on my book's page. THANK YOU!!!!!
Oh... yeah, I think you quoting Martin made me think it was a continuation. Anyway, glad it's sorted.

The page you linked contains this text: "Other valid cover sources
An individual user's scans or photos, taken of books they own or have in their possession
A screen capture of an ebook cover for that specific edition"

You didn't specify that in your request.
If they scanned or took a photo of the book, they own the copyright to that scan or photo. Don't be dense.
You are turning things around, Goodreads standards state only acceptable sources (origin of image), copyright for an image could reside with somebody who has not sourced the image in an acceptable manner - it could be the creator who has produced it on a computer or by painting on paper and then photographing that, an author may own a digital image supplied to them by an artist. There is no need for personal insults here, I will not engage further with you.
