Spencer Hixon Hello!

I'm a new urban fantasy author and I'm very happy to be here! My book, A Sinister Love, is about a demon named Scribble who is fired from her desk job in Purgatory and sent to tempt a human named Paul, but she only knows humans through books (mostly bad romance novels). When she starts to develop some very un-demon-like feelings towards Paul (a bookstore ower), she discovers that there's another reason she was fired—to be a scapegoat. With two demon Princes after her, an overbearing supervisor, and an old flame getting into the mix, Scribble finds herself having to make a choice. But how can she choose love, when doing so means giving up love itself?

i like to say it's similar to Good Omens, with a bit of Hazbin Hotel, and inspired by The Screwtape Letters and The Great Divorce.

I am also launching the Kickstarter campaign for my next novel starting tomorrow, Monday the 14th of October! It's called "Fate & Fortune." A young orphan named Alex meets Lady Luck and her sister Destiny who offer him the opportunity to change his fate and reverse his fortunes. Years later, he discovers that this means he will never be with his soulmate, Amanda, who is now doomed to marry a narcissist. To fix things, Alex is given the ability to go back and relive his life from any point in time, but there's a catch: every minute he spends reliving the past is a minute he loses in the future. With time running out, a vindictive narcissist on his trail, the growing threat of time glitches, and his own sanity on the line, will Alex be able to save Amanda from his doomed fate, or is he making a big mistake?

I liken this novel to Sandman, but in all honesty, it is mostly a creation of my own design. It's not yet in the Goodreads system because the actual publication date isn't until summer, '25, so if you want to read it anytime soon, the Kickstarter is the way to go!

I plan to write until I no longer can, but right now I need more readers! I'm glad to be here and look forward to discussing urban fantasy with everyone!
