Note: Book in title is not accurate but can't post without a title.
I don't have access to the What's the Name of the Book group so starting a topic here. I've been trying to remember the title and author of a book I read around 1999/2000. It's about a woman who goes to Ireland to meet with a man she'd become involved with and finds herself embroiled in an IRA plot to destroy a portrait of some national importance, which she doesn't want to do. The book cover was the portrait in question and I believe was a little girl sitting at a piano as if taking a lesson, black base with an orange banner on it I believe. I think about this every few months or so but can't seem to find any information about it all. However I'm sure the author was a woman. Probably named Katherine something.
