Lorrea - WhatChaReadin'? Since we are getting so many authors here in our group, I made a place for you all to promote your books. I see different people have placed them in different folders.

D.L. Thomas I have written only one book, Backlash: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/20976262-backlash. I can at least say that I am "thrilled" to be done writing it. What a process!

In short, Backlash is a story about an epic treasure hunt. Much like an Indiana Jones movie, it is complete with bad guys, sticky situations, and some crazy plans for survival.

I like it, but then I wrote it to be exactly the type of book I'd like to read. I may not be the best critic.

Ty Patterson The Warrior by Ty Patterson

The Warrior is about an ex-Special Forces operative who doesn't back up or stand down...and is ordered to do just that.

Rather than banging on about it, below are a few sample reviews from Amazon.

The book's here:http://www.amazon.com/The-Warrior-Ty-...

Reviews:

If you like Vince Flynn's Mitch Rapp books, Harlan Coben's Myron Bolitar series, David Baldacci's Will Robie series, I highly recommend The Warrior.

I read this book in 7 days including a full work week! Could not put it down at night.

'As good as Baldacci' is merited

Ty Patterson "The Warrior" is a true page-turners, so exciting and well written. I have read all the greats such as Brad Thor, Lee Child and Vince Flynn thriller series, so feel I know great thriller writer when I read one. I believe Ty Patterson is the next up and coming thriller writer. If you like Brad, Lee and Vince Flynn books your going to love this one! I highly recommend this book! Congrats Ty on hitting your first book out of the park! I cannot wait till the next one!

What a great book! It has been a long time since I have had a book keep me on the edge! I found I couldn't put it down. If you are a Jack Reacher fan then this book is for you. It's good to know there are still authors out there who appeal to the Warrior in all of us! Ty is a great author and I look forward to the sequel!!

A cracking book. I thoroughly enjoyed The Warrior. Much was made of it's genre similarities to the Reacher series and, whilst this is the case to some extent - and you could argue a case for it being a cross of Reacher and Victor the Assassin - the book more than stands on is own two feet.

Excellent: If you are a fan of Lee Child's Jack Reacher books as I am, do yourself a favor and get a copy of "The Warrior." You won't be disappointed.

Hello everyone,
My first mystery novel, Killer Rumors, is currently available. James Patterson and Dan Brown are a huge influence of my passion and work. Here is the synopsis:

Father D’Angelo and Bakeman, two devoted priests were brutally murdered while going on one of their nightly walks. Detective Frank Rinelli is called to the case- not only due to his close friendship with the priests, but with his expertise of tracking psychotic killers. Rinelli suddenly discovers these murders were based on a scandal that occurred several years ago at the same Church where the two murdered priests preached. And it doesn’t stop there. The list of people being murdered in connection with the scandal continues to grow until the killer has his ultimate vengeance- and the truth released.

Killer Rumors is currently free until the end of the month. Here is the link to download your free copy:

Thank you for taking the time viewing my novel. Enjoy Killer Rumors! :)

P.S. Thank you Ty for sending me a copy of your story. I look forward reading it. Wishing everyone the very best! :)

C.L. Taylor Hello all!

My book, The Accident, will be published by Avon HarperCollins on 10th April (and in the US in June as 'Before I Wake'). It's a psychological thriller about a woman who must discover why her teenaged daughter stepped in front of a bus before a deadly secret from the past catches up with them both.

Alex Marwood called it "An ominous atmosphere, a tense tale of past and present colliding, and a narrator whom no-one believes: this book is a delight."

My publishers are currently running a giveaway if anyone likes the sound of it.

DianeAlice - which are your favourite psychological thrillers? I recently finished 'Apple Tree Yard' which I thought was beautifully written and so gripping. Andrew Updegrove Great to see that someone thought to start a thriller group, and even better to see that you're welcoming authors to let you know about their books. Thanks!

My first thriller is called The Alexandria Project; a second in the same series will be out later this year. Its GR page is here: http://bit.ly/1kt98FX and you can read several sample chapters here: http://updegrove.wordpress.com/sample...

As you'll see, it's a satiric, cybersecurity thriller with strong character development, 40 reviews you can read at Amazon (4.9 average rating), and four reviews here at GoodReads (3.62 ave. rating). Hopefully there will be a few more reviews here shortly, as I've just completed a giveaway (perhaps most of the winners have already joined this group?)

When I first released the book, I often used the tagline "The only thing fictional about it is that it hasn't happened yet." Since then, though, many of the international plot developments I came up with for the book have actually happened in the real world, involving the same countries. Given that the plot deals with international espionage and a nuclear crisis, let's hope the countries in question aren't really using The Alexandria Project as their playbook.

I hope that some of you will decide to give it a read, and perhaps a review as well.

Andy

He must now run head-long into places he’s tried all too often to run from. The closer he gets to the root of this ad hoc probe, the deeper it cuts into his own plagued psyche. Gerard Cappa Blood from a Shadow is free to download from Kindle, Nook, iTunes, Smashwords etc.

"Israeli death squads, Iranian Quds Force bombers, Turkish Mafya - the clueless and hopeless Maknazpy is selected as the perfect fall guy to lever American opinion the right way. They just didn't figure on the ghosts of Irish history that were always in his shadow."

"A delicious hocus of old school convoluted, reader-manipulating, treachery-dripping, double-dealing thrill fest shot through with just enough Irish melancholy and regret to raise it above the usual formula driven fare we are becoming all too used to"

"He aims at a diverse readership. One that demands a page-turning violent saga, and another that savors a more polished gloss. A cinematic flair in the settings and set-ups that gain vivid depiction shows Cappa's skill. It eases the labyrinthine, disruptive, often dialogue-driven and quicksilver-unpredictable story structure. Red herrings abound, and false leads. The Turkish sections become markedly intricate, so the busy plot demands patience amidst the threats and mayhem, as in the midst of rapid movements and conversations with which I sought to keep up. Similarly, its New York scenes turn as energetically as a quickly edited sequence from a film such as "The Bourne Identity." Blood from a Shadow by Gerard Cappa

Steven Freeman I'm excited to announce the recent publication of my first two novels in "The Blackwell Files" mystery/thriller series, which chronicles the exploits of Alton Blackwell, ex-Army captain and telecommunications expert, and Mallory Wilson, former Army lieutenant and FBI Agent. Together they risk their lives tackling intractable mysteries, but can they solve the mystery of their feelings for each other?

NEFARIOUS, the first novel, is a fast-paced foray charting the investigation of an ex-Army captain and a sharp-as-nails FBI agent into a covert project. Nefarious received the following recommendation from Kirkus Indie Reviews: "A heady thriller that gathers force with the understated menace of a tidal wave, then smashes home...Readers will be absorbed by Freeman's never-flashy expertise...Superb touches of eeriness creep in."

In RUTHLESS, the second book, Alton and Mallory strive to identify the culprit behind a series of perplexing homicides, racing to unravel the mystery in time to avoid becoming the killer’s next victims. But will their growing relationship survive the presence of the beautiful Chelsea Mancini, who seems to lie in the center of the chaos?

Joseph Cognard Hi,
My name is Joe and I am a self published author.

Written for You is my latest work and first for truly just a adult audience. It is a dark comedic play, but at is core is a building mystery that most readers have really enjoyed.
I hope you can get a chance to check it out, maybe have a laugh and see if you can guess the ending.
Bob is an accountant who works in a publishing company, for some reason he writes a book and when he tries to get people at work to read, things go down hill. The mystery and story came pretty easily, I think in large part due to me obsessing over trying to be funny. I never ever want to try to be funny again, not even a knock knock or fart joke, and I tip my hat to those can be humorous on a daily basis.
I think I might write about politics next there nothing funny about that.

Adrian Birch The first installment of DEAD IN BED is available for free on Amazon all day April 12th.

* * *

Dead in Bed, Part 1 by Bailey Simms You've never, ever read a novel like this.

Bailey Simms' acclaimed debut novel is partly a suspense thriller about a disease that makes anyone infected hopelessly crave sex, partly a page-turning mystery, and partly a neo-western adventure. If you can handle a smart, controversial protagonist who's willing to do anything—no matter how difficult or morally questionable—in order to survive, the series will pull you in with the force of a desperate addiction.

Dead in Bed follows Ashley, a vivacious young woman who's stuck in an unsatisfying marriage and a dead-end job. But when a sexually-transmitted plague breaks out in her small town, slowly transforming everyone infected into crazed sex-fiends, everything about her life changes.

As emotionally incisive as it is shockingly sexy, as heartbreaking as it is hilarious, Bailey Simms' tour-de-force series is as hard to put down as books by writers twice her age.

Facing quarantine, National Guard barricades, the onset of winter, and a rapidly-spreading plague, Ashley, her family, her friends, and everyone else in her small Colorado town find their true feelings for one another surfacing—both amorously and violently.

When everyone in Ashley's life begins taking comfort in one another's arms, no one really knows who's infected with the plague and who's not. And because the disease perpetuates itself as an aphrodisiac, sex, the very thing that offers comfort, only contributes to spreading the plague.

In a crumbling world with little to lose, however, Ashley begins to discover a desire to live she didn't know she possessed and opportunities she's never had. Her newly-acquired agency may come at a price, however, when Ashley ultimately must choose between her own survival and the people she loves.
