The last chapter of the book was one of the first things I came up with, so I was constantly writing with the end in mind. I actually skipped ahead and wrote the last chapter before the second half of the book! As far as the New York scene, that "twist" was always my plan as well. It was a fun chapter to write because of the heavy dialogue - I approached it more as a movie scene and just let the characters speak how I thought they would in a film!
