Hi, thank you for reading the book, and I hope you enjoyed it. But I don't think I did say this. Is it possible you misread the Author's Note? The point it makes is that I *do* have access to contemporaneous archive material that an earlier generation of authors didn't. That meant I could weed out a lot of the fictions that had crept in through memoirs. In the areas where it's hard to be certain, principally around Clarke's arrest, I hope I've made that clear what we don't know. But in general, if you want to know where I've got something from, the endnotes give the sources.
