Kerry Pickens I think the style of writing that Native American's tend to use is just very different than mainstream fiction. You can say that though about just about any culture whether they are a minority or not. I tried reading Russian books for a while and they are maddening to read as well because I expect a plot where there is actually events happening in the story, and the stories meander around too and have a million different characters with long names as well as nicknames. Appreciate the cultural differences makes you a better reader.

Patrick Hansel It feels like this reviewer set out with an idea of what the book should be like, rather than enjoying its power and beauty as it is written.
