Personally, I don't particularly appreciate how AI tends to forget what you tell it.

I work as a graphic designer so I use the AI in Photoshop for certain things - it’s very very helpful especially when you have to create something quickly for a tight deadline!!
A.I kinda scares me tbh.. I think it’s gonna take over the world!🤪 (might be being a little dramatic haha) I think it’s cool for some things but I don’t think it should be where it is, if that makes sense lol

omg thats a lot! Thank you for providing more information!
AI is great, but you shouldn’t rely upon it because it’s unreliable and has memory loss + is terrible at 7th grade maths and beyond

oooh! good point!
I use it to give me feedback on my essay, I also get it to grade my paper based on the rubric to give me an idea on what I can improve.
AI is such a hot topic in the education world, and I did a similar essay this year, so I would love to help in any way! Feel free to send me a message 🫶🏼

Okay! thank you so much for offering to help! I will if I need anything!! 😁
I have never used any other than the Snapchat AI and that has helped me a little bit with some questions for example that I didn’t understand but that is that…
If you made a list of all the amazing things AI will bring us (new medicines, advances in clean energy, etc.) and you made a list of all the awful things that could happen, I bet you'd be right on all accounts. History shows it's hard to keep the good things and successfully avoid the bad things. For your research, I'd recommend reading The Coming Wave. The Coming Wave: Technology, Power, and the Twenty-first Century's Greatest Dilemma

thank you so much for the suggestions!
Honestly if you use ai for school that’s just not good. No hate but like if you think about it how are you going to learn if you use it. But like character.ai I think that’s fine lol
I've never used AI for school or ideas or anything. I literally just have conversations with Gemini because I'm lonely. 😭
ok, i’m going to be 100% honest, i think A.I is OKAY when it comes to certain small things like coding or maybe generating a concept that you might draw later or just concepts if you cant draw. A.I usage for other things is usually not good tbh ESPECIALLY with the A.I art situation, like the ai art and voices are everywhere like are the advertising teams for companies THAT lazy… and worst of all people claim ai art is art they made, like no you didn’t, you typed words into a computer and let that do the work for you. Honestly, this is really upsetting, cuz now normal artists are being blamed and harassed for having ANY SMIDGE that looks similar to ai (especially when it comes to shading apparently). And finally, A.i is just not fully trustworthy yet, it pulls from random sources, so the answers it gives you could be pure b.s, and still, students everywhere use this method…(which usually ends badly).
I think the best option is to just avoid A.I for anything major, as it can create many issues
It’s okay for small things but I also think that it’s also a form of cheating. Think of our great artists in the past. They used pure TALENT 🤌🏻 not some machine that just makes things perfect. I think in life you have to learn how to make mistakes first. Ai doesn’t really give you that opportunity.
I'm very against it, except for certain situations. I saw something about AI detecting cells that would become cancerous in the future
ive used a whole bunch of different ais!! they arent AMAZING but imo they should stay how they are rn cuz ppls plans for them are CREEPY
I actually use it to help me come up with outfit and costume designs. I'm doing a series of pictures of goddesses and while I have a basic idea nailed down for the outfits I am not very fashion oriented so I've been using a.i. to help me come up with ideas. I think it's great for rough stuff but wrong to use and lazy as a book cover or finished art. It also uses the world of others without their permission which is a big moral gray area.
I also use a.i. as part of my job and for that it's very important. We train different models to detect defects in train wheels for a huge railroad.
Overall I think a.i. is great but it is not a replacement for real people and I think it's wrong to use as art for a product lieu of hiring an actual artist.
I use for studying sometimes, it can actually be pretty useful. For example to generate practice questions from a specific document or even a practice test
Guys I was not expecting to get so many votes and opinions! I cannot express my gratitude towards all of you guys! Thank you so much!!

thank you so much for sharing a little bit about how you use A.I! This will be very beneficial for me to showcase how A.I can help in people's workplaces.
I’m a nursing student and I do use chatgpt when I need a better explaination within patophysiology (I write questions like “Can you explain short and simple to me about herniated disk/slipped disc/prolapsed disc?”).
When it comes to writing a research or IMRAD, using chatgpt and then copy-and-paste is a no-no to me because it’s cheating and it’s disrespectful to steal the words that does not belong to yours. Teachers might even ask you about sources and referencing, so you have to be critical thinking when using chatgpt 😌

i don’t like the way AI removes personal touches from things. AI takes jobs from people and honestly, in my opinion it has way too much power in our day to day lives. im a little scared for our future if everything becomes made by or reliant on AI. there are some pros though. i just can’t think about them when the cons to me feel so catastrophic.
