Hello all, I'm Lynn.
I'm an indie/SP author in the fantasy and children's genres. To date, I've published 4 fantasy novels and 2 novellas, and 1 picture book for kids.
I truly enjoy writing and I'm also an avid reader. I love animals, crafting, mountains, and playing games. While fantasy and science fiction are my favorite genres to read, I enjoy variety and like to read many other genres, too.
I'm looking forward to supporting fellow indie/SP authors, sharing my books with readers who I hope love them, and discovering new books to feed my reading passion.

Welcome to the group, Kat!

I'm Patty and I write environmental science fiction. Keen to talk shop with you all. What fun to discover a new group of like-minded writers!

I've written four books in the paranormal suspense/mystery genre, The Dead Game Series, and now I'm working on the second book in The Blue Harbor Series. I love reading books that have mystery and romance.

I’m E.K. I write and read fantasy / NA / YA books. I love animals, travelling and the outdoors.

I'm Mary and I just published my first book on Amazon, Reflections on Thoreau’s Walking: -- With Accompanying Questions I love to read and write, and my reading is across all genres.
I wanted to write something that was reflective in nature, as well as something that encouraged readers to dip into classics. And, given how weighty Thoreau can be, I figured that quotations would be a good way to get a taste without being overwhelmed.

Just found my way here from https://www.goodreads.com/group/show/... (bit of cross promotion, there).
For anybody who hasn't come across me elsewhere, I'm an indie author of fantasy novels. These currently consist of (a) the Majaos Trilogy (permafree offerings based on an RPG I invented at University - see my bio for link) and my ongoing series, The Salvation of Tempestria - 4 books published, book 5 coming October.
I've really stepped up my indie reading this year including, but not limited to, S Lynn's Wild Inheritance series, which is great. And no, she didn't pay me to say that...at least, not yet. Where's my fiver?! (Kidding.)

Although my books are in series, each novel can be read as a stand-alone story. Some characters feature in more than one novel.
Fantasy is also my favourite genre to read. I like to support independent/self-published authors.

I'm J.J. and have been working as a writer for the past few years now. Last year, I self-published my first book, "Loving Lies," in the Crime/Thriller/Suspense fiction genre. I am currently working on the second installment of the series. In my free time, I am a proofreader, developmental editor, and beta reader. I graduated with a Bachelor's in Creative Writing in May. One of my favorite things is to help other authors fulfill their dreams. I help where I can and love every minute of it.

Greetings everyone. My name is Deb and I am happy to be a part of this club.
I have been writing and editing my books since 2008. I started out as an avid reader of historical romance novels and then started to notice how the books were being written. Deciding to try it myself, I started to experiment with my own writing. I am self-published and write mainly science fiction novels (having a vivid imagination). After many, many rewrites, the finished version of "Saga of Bazor" was published October 30, 2020. My favorite of my books, however is "Black Seven: Legend of Venetta".

I write fantasy/horror/science fiction. Look to find new authors to love!

It covers many topics that were the headlines and issues of the day from the early 1960's through the present. While following each character's coming-of-age for their early teens in each of these periods. And while I tried to throw in some humor, it touches on the politics of their day and the changing attitudes toward love, war, interracial relationships, sexual identity, abuse, alcoholism, depression and how each are affected by and are dealt with by these characters and their siblings, parents, children and grandchildren, all told from a first person perspective as if they were journaling their lives.
A very different style for me that I hope is interesting.

I thought I had, but am having trouble 'claiming' my author page. Could be why it doesn't, but I did link it to GR.

Thank you for your advice. And noticing the other posts.
I had clicked the 'Is this you?' link to claim the author page, as I was advised.
I'll now try to contact GR. Thans again.

This is my first time joining a review round, and I hope to contribute as much as I can.
I wrote Speculative Fiction and Suspense, but both books lean more on the characters.
I hope to see you around, and thanks for having me!

Usually this works, but if there is a complication, Goodreads support is good at sorting things out, in my experience. I hope they can get it fixed for you.

Hello Seth, and welcome to the group!
-Lynn

I was initially never a big fan of magic and fantasy, but as you note, the genre has really changed and thanks to some now friends' on GR and their writings, I've kind of 're-discovered' it.
Looking forward to some spirited discussions on all subjects.

Also, hello and welcome Sotto! (Sorry I previously missed your intro post above - early November was crazy for me.)

Hello Patricia, and welcome to the group!

My name is Ben Orlando. I've been writing short stories and novels for years, and just published my mystery novel, Lost Journals of Sundown. I'm looking forward to sharing and reading, and hopefully getting some reviews in this community. It's a hard slog to write and publish, and harder to self-publish, so I appreciate communities like this. Lost Journals of Sundown
