The Amren dinner talk about “male form” and “be able to whip it out and go whenever" I read this super late at night, but it still has made me feel weird and uncomfortable thinking about it. And YES. I actually forgot to mention it here because I couldn't bear to look through my kindle highlights, but that part was super yucky to read. Also the fact that she used the actual word "transition" but then Elain used it for a completely different context. Just...nope.

I love this review! I was in the middle of writing one myself and basically same ideas but you just said them waay better. This novella made me lose all little interest I had in other characters, sadly.

Ah. Yes. Reviews like this one reaffirm me in my decision of "lol no" every time a see a book by her (which is a pity, cause I like some of her concepts on theory).

Omg I am not even through with the book but I can already relate to everything you’ve mentioned 😂 you did miss one thing though: I was already rolling my eyes at the second chapter when Rhys has to be „buried inside her“ while flying over his town. I was just like WTF is happening here 😂😂😂

100% spot on. This was basically my review for ACOWAR. It's just weak writing and I'm sick of people throwing their money at her for pure dogshit.

I am so so worried she's gonna ruin Cass and Nesta! Like they're my favs, and idk what I'm gonna do with myself if Cass just becomes like Rhys and loses all his personality except for his sex drive. I am praying to the literary gods that she won't ruin them! 🙏🙏🙏

her books got better and then got absolutely insufferable for me i couldn't even finish AcoWaR and I'm not even gonna read more of anything from her just reading people's dissapointed and angry reviews is enough of a warning

I like her characters (before she ruins them) and her worldbuilding but I'm tired of her not listening to readers and just generally treating us like shit

That chapter was one of the WORST I've ever read ://
