Hi Everyone,I'd like to introduce my book TOO LITTLE, TOO LATE. The genre is women's suspense with crossover appeal to older Young Adults since one of the main characters is 17 years old.
TOO LITTLE, TOO LATE is about two stories, really. The main story deals with seventeen-year-old Karen Devane, a spoiled Hollywood princess who gets into a confrontation with a homeless woman, who’s killed by a hit-and-run driver as she’s trying to escape from Karen and her two friends. Karen’s involvement in the woman’s death sets off a chain of events which eventually reveals some pretty awful family secrets, all of which revolve around her beloved grandmother, Kate. The back story is all about Kate’s past.
The inspiration for TOO LITTLE, TOO LATE came in kind of a roundabout way. My son used to play high school basketball and one Saturday, I got up really early because he had a game and I guess I was worried about a snowstorm that was supposed to happen later in the day and I couldn’t sleep. Anyway, I turned on the TV and there, on the History channel, was this documentary on war children that caught my attention. What was really sad about these war children was that when the Second World War was over, they were hated and treated really badly by adults and by other children and many were thrown into mental institutions while their mothers were treated as traitors and ostracized for the rest of their lives. Some of these war children grew up to become famous like the musician, Eric Clapton, as well as Ani-Frid Lyngstad, one of the singers from the Swedish pop group, ABBA. I thought this lesser-known aspect of the Second World War would make an interesting, and powerful, back story to my book. Ani-Frid Lyngstad, who’s now a real-life princess, became the inspiration for the grandmother in my book, Kate Stanton.
I also love everything about Hollywood and when I started writing this book, all you seemed to hear about in entertainment news at that time was the Britney Spears meltdown or LiLo’s latest crisis or the feud between Paris Hilton and Nicole Ritchey. These guys combined were sort of the inspiration for the character of seventeen-year-old Karen Devane. Karen comes from Hollywood royalty, she’s spoiled and dealing with the break-up of her parents and some recent developments in her father’s love-life have her pretty messed up. She’s a good kid who makes some not-so-great choices which ends up landing her in major trouble. Although both her parents love her dearly, Karen believes the only constant in her life is her beloved grandmother Kate.

Hi, My new suspense novel, Silent Sanction, is written and nearing final edit. It deals with a young man from the swamps of Louisiana who is conscripted into Mob undercover work for the New Orleans Police department after committing a minor offense. The main character is influenced by Voodoo rituals and practices in the swamp. The main character completes his conscripted service and "escapes" to the Navy submarine service. His new sanction is a call to active duty during the Cuban missile crisis (1962). A confrontation follows with a Soviet submarine and biological weapon off the coast of Mississippi. The main character goes on to become a black opts operative for the CIA and other agencies. Much of the story is based on real events. I am looking for Beta readers who will give me helpful feedback in exchange for a signed paperback edition when it comes out. The second book in this series is already half completed. Hopefully there will be more. Many thanks.

With Gut-Check Green Prasad wrote a novel that is intelligent, thought-provoking, fast moving, suspenseful and very entertaining. The story flows, is well structured and easy to read. There are patches of dark humor, the book is brilliantly written and the story kept me guessing to the end. Jake is the kind of protagonist you want to find in a good thriller. Pencil, one of the bad guys, establishes himself right from the beginning as a bad guy, when he kills a… Sorry, can’t give away too much. I hope Peter Prasad enjoyed a few glasses of Sonoma wine after he had completed this novel. He deserved it. Hi Everyone - In my ebook suspense novel, Better With Age: A Boomer’s Tale, baby boomer Peter Barnes has fallen behind digitally at Catbird Technologies and is fearful that he’ll be RIF’d in a pending merger. Post-merger, younger incoming executives are clearly trying to force him out and even the head of the merged company has given subtle indications that he might not survive the next RIF. As they stand together in the lobby of a high-rise bank tower, drenched in water spraying from overhead fire sprinklers, each man assesses the other. A high-decibel klaxon and strobing fire alarm encourage throngs of frightened bank employees to flee around them, and also dissuade nearby fire responders from entering. With no time to spare, the two men consider if, together, and alone with no back-up, they can stop an imminent terror attack unfolding 23 floors above them. Landon fears failure will end thousands of lives, and that success may require their own. With so much at stake, Landon and McDougal must immediately decide if they can trust each other enough to set about the rough business at hand."
