Searching for Fantasy/Western Crossovers > Likes and Comments

Howdy all! I'm wanting to find some Fantasy stories with a strong Western vibe or set in an actual Western setting. Any suggestions?

Brandon Sanderson's Mistborn era 2 (The Alloy of Law is the first book in the 4 book series) has a Western vibe to it.

It does, yes! I've read that one. Oddly, I didn't enjoy it as much as I do his Stormlight Archives series, but I've never put my finger on why.

I love Mistborn era 1 but I agree the second era isn't quite as good. It has been awhile since I have read era 2 and I haven't read the 4th book yet. I think the characters are more interesting in era 1 and in the Stormlight Archives.

I am hoping someone else has some suggestions for you. I would be interested myself.

I agree. I was pretty much only reading Sanderson for a while, so now I'm on a break, got kind of burnt out. But I would love some other Western/Fantasy to try. I think Westerns are American fairy tales on many levels and would love more exploration of that.

Hey! This fits that category exatly, I believe and it is new. Book two was written with it and will be published shortly.
