Hi Joseph. This is Peter, the author, here. And you are correct. Aquila only touches on the things you came to know in the main book. The purpose of this prequel is to give some background to events and characters that appeared in Battle Mage and then to lay the groundwork and introduce some new characters that are crucial for the sequel which will carry on from where Battle Mage left off. The sequel will bring together all the threads and all the characters from both books so I hope you'll give me another chance when that book comes out. Whatever the case. Thanks for giving Aquila a go, and thanks for leaving a review. Even negative reviews give me a valuable insight into what readers are thinking.

Thanks Cheruv. Aquila's definitely a bit darker than BM and leaves lots of threads open, but I hope you enjoy it even if the main element of the story is already known...
