Thanks Mike, I look forward to hearing what you think of Power Metal once you've read it!
Hey, thanks for such a thoughtful review! I'm flattered to have my book compared to Material World and Wasteland, both of which were excellent. I'll have to check out Making It In America, sounds very interesting.

You're very welcome, Vince -- I really enjoy your work and point of view and I look forward to reading anything else you publish!
D'oh! From the title, I thought this was a book about music. Silly me.
It is frightening that we rely so deeply on foreign sources for materials when our current leadership seems hell-bent on destroying all of our foreign relations.

I agree, Justin! Rose George's Ninety Percent of Everything: Inside Shipping, the Invisible Industry That Puts Clothes on Your Back, Gas in Your Car, and Food on Your Plate and Peter Goodman's How the World Ran Out of Everything: Inside the Global Supply Chain are two more great books on just how interconnected the world is, and how screwed the West is should those connections get politically severed.
