Thank you Scott! Yes, losing your home & job are terrifying. Those were exactly the events that forced me to start over again in life. That said, you are on the cusp of a new beginning! That's exciting!
Congratulations on finishing & publishing your book. That is a huge accomplishment! I wish you the very best with it!

I just joined Goodreads after a friend’s suggestion, and after introducing myself in the forums, I decided to explore a bit. For no particular reason, I clicked on your profile—and that’s when I came across this blog post. It really made me pause and reflect.
Why, you ask? Well, I’ve just completed my first novel at the same time I lost my job. Now, I’m facing the reality of selling my home. Your two posts resonated deeply with me, and I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for that.
Losing a job and home is terrifying, but releasing my first novel might just help keep the dark days at bay—or, who knows, it could add to them as I anxiously await reviews! So far, they’ve been positive, so fingers crossed.
Most importantly, thank you for reminding me that hope is never truly lost—just misplaced, waiting to be found again.
