You will want to keep an eye out for this new book which will be released sometime in March (not sure of the date yet). It is the story of a little girl growing up in rural Quebec, Canada in the early 1950s. She lived in a house with no electricity or running water and eventually the family got electricity and a pump in the house.
This is also a book about the importance of family and spending time together. It includes all the things that were important in those days and is also a fun read. If you loved the "Little House on the Prairies" books you'll love this book too.

The book talks about the foods they cooked and Marg (the author) has included recipes for each meal/recipe mentioned in the book that her Mom and Grandmothers made during those days so this is an additional treat inside its covers.
