Are you talking about the end of volume 1 or the end of the entire series? Since the U.S. version of volume 6 only came out on the 28th of January, I'm guessing you read a different edition. I get the impression that the original Japanese edition did not include the epilogue, so if you finished the whole series and your copy didn't include the epilogue, I'd recommend finding that. It doesn't undo anything from the main story, but it adds to it terrifically.
