Janet Renfrew Hooray for salty Petrik! You are right. This book is trash

message 2: by Hunter (new)

Hunter 1 star? Yikes. Definitely not a 1 star book, but to each their own.

message 3: by ZeN (new)

ZeN This why I quit mid book 6.. I can't ho through all this suffering just for a last Sanderson book lol

Reading summary is better.

Petrik Hunter wrote: "1 star? Yikes. Definitely not a 1 star book, but to each their own."

To each their own. I'm glad you enjoyed this. I did not. At all. 😅

Book 6 was amazing IMO. 😂

message 7: by Chantaal (new)

Chantaal I wondered recently why Wheel of Time disappeared from your YouTube wrap ups, this explains it. 😂

⚔️ readerguy ⚔️ hopefully now you can get to knife of dreams!! i thought that one was amazing

message 9: by Minnie (new)

Minnie I also gave it one star. One of the worst books in the fantasy realm. If it weren't for my friend, I would've dnf'ed WOT entirely.

message 10: by Hunter (new)

Hunter Ah well, just keep pushing through. Because the series as a whole is amazing.

message 11: by Joshua (new)

Joshua Thompson Yes, I agree it's one of the worst ever. But most WoT readers agree that book 11 is one of the best.

message 12: by Bryan (new)

Bryan This is my favorite series, but this is such a bad book. The good news is it gets better from here.

message 13: by Brian (new)

Brian THANK YOU

message 14: by Eduardo (new)

Eduardo Martín I didn't suffer with it as much as you did, but this series has a lot of flaws. I respect your commitment to seeing it through.

message 15: by Andrew (new)

Andrew Presser I didn't think it was that bad. I rated a 3 star. Definitely a flawed book that dragged, but it was worth it. I believe Wheel of Time is the greatest fantasy series ever

message 16: by Paul (new)

Paul It only goes up from here. The next book onwards is significantly better.

message 17: by Clean (new)

Clean Damn😅

message 18: by Tom (new)

Tom It's really not that bad. I was so entrenched in the world that it didn't feel like a slog. I had a harder time with The Shadow Rising than this.

message 19: by Andrew (new)

Andrew Hey, at least you did it! Hopefully that's a good sign for the rest of your reading.

message 20: by Dániel (new)

Nagy Dániel I didn't expect that you would finish it this year, I hope this means you're out of the reading slum.

message 21: by David (new)

David Marques I thought Winter Heart was worst. At this this book has the Matt and Suon plotline which was quite good. Still a slog thou.

message 22: by Candace (new)

Candace Yeah it was the worst lol. Luckily it gets better again in the next book.

message 23: by Petrik (new)

Petrik Chantaal wrote: "I wondered recently why Wheel of Time disappeared from your YouTube wrap ups, this explains it. 😂"

Now you know. I'm tired of featuring this book in my monthly TBR video. 😂

Petrik ⚔️ readerguy ⚔️ wrote: "hopefully now you can get to knife of dreams!! i thought that one was amazing"

I'm so excited, not gonna lie. I will be taking a little break from the world, but the next time I'm back, it will be for that! :)

message 25: by Petrik (new)

Petrik Minnie wrote: "I also gave it one star. One of the worst books in the fantasy realm. If it weren't for my friend, I would've dnf'ed WOT entirely."

I have no idea how many times I dozed off or shook my head reading this. Uncountable. 😂

message 26: by Petrik (new)

Petrik Hunter wrote: "Ah well, just keep pushing through. Because the series as a whole is amazing."

I definitely will continue!! Pretty excited for the rest of the series! :)

message 27: by Petrik (new)

Petrik Joshua wrote: "Yes, I agree it's one of the worst ever. But most WoT readers agree that book 11 is one of the best."

That's definitely a silver lining, Joshua! :D

message 28: by Petrik (new)

Petrik Bryan wrote: "This is my favorite series, but this is such a bad book. The good news is it gets better from here."

I don't think anything in the series will ever be as bad as this again. 😂 Impossible.

message 29: by Petrik (new)

Petrik Brian wrote: "THANK YOU"

You're welcome!! 😂

message 30: by Petrik (new)

Petrik Eduardo wrote: "I didn't suffer with it as much as you did, but this series has a lot of flaws. I respect your commitment to seeing it through."

Yeah, there were some books in the series despite the flaws. Great Hunt, Fires of Heaven, and Lords of chaos being my favorites of them all. I was still able to enjoy some parts of A Crown of Swords and Path of Daggers, too. This one was just on another level.

message 31: by Petrik (new)

Petrik Andrew wrote: "I didn't think it was that bad. I rated a 3 star. Definitely a flawed book that dragged, but it was worth it. I believe Wheel of Time is the greatest fantasy series ever"

I don't think it will the greatest fantasy series ever for me. But we'll see how the last few books goes!

message 32: by Petrik (new)

Petrik Paul wrote: "It only goes up from here. The next book onwards is significantly better."

Thank you so much, Paul! I'm excited for the rest!

message 33: by Petrik (new)

Petrik Andrew wrote: "Hey, at least you did it! Hopefully that's a good sign for the rest of your reading."

I HOPE SO. About time. I think the book is partly responsible for my slump in fantasy. 😂

message 34: by Petrik (new)

Petrik Tom wrote: "It's really not that bad. I was so entrenched in the world that it didn't feel like a slog. I had a harder time with The Shadow Rising than this."

You gave it 2 stars, though? 😂 Although, I agree Shadow Rising was another rough part of the series. Maybe because I had too high of an expectation towards that.

message 35: by Petrik (new)

Petrik Dániel wrote: "I didn't expect that you would finish it this year, I hope this means you're out of the reading slum."

I'm happy to be done with this. Knife of Dreams next!!!

message 36: by Petrik (new)

Petrik David wrote: "I thought Winter Heart was worst. At this this book has the Matt and Suon plotline which was quite good. Still a slog thou."

Theirs were okay, but still feels like the plot barely progressed. Or at all.

message 37: by Petrik (new)

Petrik Candace wrote: "Yeah it was the worst lol. Luckily it gets better again in the next book."

Thank you for the encouragement, Candace!

message 38: by John (new)

John The whole series has been painful. I just finished book 5, and there are parts in this series that I want to quit reading. Not just quit reading Wheel of Time, but reading in general

People can love what you love, but people who tell me this is there favorite fantasy series..,, I won't trust their judgment on anything

message 39: by Kareena (new)

Kareena “Good night”

LOL!!!! Savage Petrik does not hold back.

message 40: by Piggy (new)

Piggy tarian This is absolutely hilarious!

It needs to be said. xD

message 42: by Ryan (new)

Ryan Cahill 6/10 not as good as your Uprooted review.

message 43: by Arik (new)

Arik Vlaanderen Haha was this the book where weevils were the bad guys?

message 44: by Petrik (new)

Petrik Ryan wrote: "6/10 not as good as your Uprooted review."

I'd rather reread Uprooted than reading this again.

message 45: by Petrik (new)

Petrik Arik wrote: "Haha was this the book where weevils were the bad guys?"

Absolutely right. xD

message 46: by Audrey (new)

Audrey My husband read the wheel of time when he was a teen but told he will hate it now lol. I tried in French then in English nope I didn’t even finish book one 😥

message 47: by Jethpage (new)

Jethpage "Trees shouldn't have been sacrificed for this." I died hahahahaha

message 48: by Adam (new)

Adam Tell us how you really feel :)

message 49: by Jasmine (new)

Jasmine Shier Why do people like this series? All I hear is awful things haha!

message 50: by Isabella (new)

Isabella Medeiros Even though I bought all the ebooks, I decided to give up The Wheel of Time after book 7. The series has so many problems for me and reading it was a chore. I'm still curious, but I don't think it is worth it. Good luck for you.
