You sound remarkably similar to an author who has multiple accounts on Goodreads, and who enjoys leaving bad reviews, and accusing other authors of "buying" reviews because they send out ARCs. You're entitled to your opinion, of course - I'm not sure why you have to go after every person who leaves a good review. If that's what makes you feel better, than you are in need of some serious self-examination.
@Cat No, Cat >> are you describing yourself here ???? Because I am not an author, but YOU are!
I happen to be a discerning reading with a working brain, and I don’t owe anything to the Austen Publishing Mafia that are pushing t r a s h writing as 5-star books to make themselves some sales…. Feel free to wince if my jab falls too close to home on your end.
The corporate backlash on valid criticism is hilarious; Nice try !!!
Oh, it's you that made me break my vow of not leaving a review! There are many reviewers who actually pay for books and leave 5-star reviews, and I'm one of them. This book is phenomenal on many levels. You seem to be nit-picking a couple of details and missing the excellent plot, prose, pace, characterization, romance development, editing, cover, attention to historical detail, realism, scene-setting, and use of rhetorical devices that characterize Moll's work. What do you usually read, murder suspense?
