Dare I say it. There're too many works now forced on us written by so-called "underrepresented" writers that aren't really that good. Whitehead's The Underground Railroad was one that disappointed me. Look at some of the poetry on Only Poetry--one of the most recent was by a trans, a six poem series celebrating "cum." Give me a break!
