I think all your criticisms are more than reasonable - Little problems with accuracy make sense in terms of the film industry and the hospitalization scene, since I don't know much about either of those spaces. And I see what you mean about a lack of conflict in some places and a few set-ups with no payoff... As for using beta readers near me as editors, busted! Yeah, I have high hopes to get this professionally published and for that version I am really taking it apart for flaws, but I was on a real budget for this publication and wanted it out. My hope is that this will be a decent stepping stone and that soon I will be able to afford an editor who's not family...
Anyway, I am very grateful you gave me a chance and I hope you will stick around to see me improve! This is as I think you saw my first publication and I am hoping to drop a science fiction project I've been working on soon...
