Wow, thank you so much for this thoughtful review Collin. I couldn't have asked for a better first written analysis of this book (and I believe yours is the first!), and I'm honored by your kind words, and of course by being placed next to Chesterton and Lewis, however undeserved; they both have been big influences on me. And your criticism is well taken too. Earlier drafts had me bouncing across the centuries on each side, in each chapter, presenting multiple examples of the one view in question; at a certain point I made the deliberate decision to restrict myself to a single example (sometimes with an honorable mention!) typically remote in time. My hope is that the reader will thus be able to see these ideas with a certain abstract objectivity but also how they connect with present-day debates. There is indeed much more to be said, and I will continue to write articles on the both/and for the foreseeable future. As for a sequel, I leave that in God's hands! Thank you again. It meant so much to me to read this.
