It is odd that a narrator wouldn't bother to double check the pronunciation of the island name where the story takes place. That bugged me a bit, too.
I agree with the lack of development and yea the mispronunciation of Mackinac was very frustrating. I was attracted to the story because it took place on the island and being that I live (born and raised) in Michigan I was here for it. Super let down. But I can’t be “salty” about it because the lakes aren’t….okay that was a bad pun!
It had so much more potential! Def could have used another 100+ pgs to dive deeper.
And yeah, who approved this audio? Getting the locations name right is pretty important
