Wow this sounds like an amazing book! As the mother of a son with nonverbal autism this really piques my interest too.
Maureen, I am the author and I am also autistic! My other book shown on this site, Being Friends with Bodie Finch, is specifically about autism, and features a boy who has trouble communicating verbally. Always interested in talking with others facing these challenges!
