This book is listed under Miranda D Nelson (which is how my name appears on Amazon), but on Goodreads my author name is Miranda D. Nelson (with a period after the D). I have been told several times I cannot remove the period. This is, however, my book and I would like it to be connected to my Goodreads Author Account.

I want to remove the period because my name on Amazon does not have a period, so my accounts don't match. Thank you for connecting it to my account.

Goodreads' policy is to always put periods after initials in names. It's a silly system that stems from the fact that Goodreads uses the author page's display name as as a unique identifier.

They ought to at least make it easier for authors to link Goodreads author pages to Amazon author pages. I recommend sending feedback to Goodreads.
