Giveaway question > Likes and Comments

I've been away for 12 years, so I'm sure a lot has changed. When I was here last, I had some book giveaways where the people promised to review the book. What happened was that several of them turned around and immediately sold the book to a bookstore. Is this still a problem here?

This has nothing to do with librarians, or even Goodreads.
We can't know what people do with their books, let alone control it.
