Thank you for this post. I've always declared Mother's Day as the most special of all the special days. I have only one child, a son, but he has been a source of joy and fun from day one. Together we have hiked every trail in the San Francisco Bay Regional Park system. We've biked on trails where he bombed along and I gritted my teeth and clutched the hand brakes. We dived together with sharks. We learned to play golf - although he soared waaaay beyond my paltry skills. It may sound strange, but having him, I got to live my childhood all over again as a boy. It's been exhilarating. Happy Mother's Day to all mothers everywhere. You never know what it's like until you become a member of that special Mothers Club. A special Happy Mother's Day to you. Thank YOU so much for sharing! As a boy mom myself, I know what you mean...the energy and experience are entirely different -- and wonderful! I've gotten comfortable with mud, learned to pitch (a little!), and studied up on the hot video games, and it's all good. A joyful Mother's Day to you and yours!
