Ian 53 hours! Impressive, Judith! I don't think I've ever tackled an audio book of that length.

It took over 3 months but when I’ve sufficiently recovered from this marathon I’d like to listen to the first 2 volumes in this set.

Your seamless contribution to this account elevated it to one of my favorite books.

Barbara K OMG!! I begin going pale around 20 hours. Well done you!

Churchill was definitely a unique, amazing individual - but I will be happier with a shorter biography.

I took a couple of very long breaks from this but I would still strongly recommend it to get a full picture of Churchill’s unique personality, especially his relationships with Roosevelt, Stalin, and and de Gaulle.

Pam I’m glad you reviewed this, and such a good review! I’m currently in the middle of Andrew Roberts bio of Churchill, Churchill: Walking With Destiny , also approximately 1,100 pages. I probably will not go back to this Manchester bio but I understand it’s great and appreciate your thoughts on it.

I guess it’s easy to fill 1,000+ pages with Churchill. I hope you’re enjoying your bio as much as I did with mine.

Mark Porton Thank you indeed Judith, I think this man was a hero!!! He stood up to Nazism, when things looked a bit hopeless. A giant of history. Great review and - great effort with the length of this audiobook, great review!

I’m no expert on WWII, so not only was I impressed about Churchill’s abilities, but I also learned a lot about the war’s progression and its other players.
