Ann Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. I do appreciate it, even though you were disappointed.

North Oak is in Hamlin, KY. Alex ran away from a group home in Tennessee and crossed the KY border near the lake.

In regards to not working on Sunday-- at the farm the horses are still cared for on Sundays. But it's a rest day. There's no workouts. Bare minimum is done that day.

Promenade is a deep chocolate palomino, which DOES exist in Thoroughbreds. He's also sabino.

My intention was never to preach. In fact, the series goes on to advocate for LGBTQ issues and other serious circumstances teens today deal with (sexuality, suicide, etc).

If there's anything I can do to encourage you to give North Oak another chance, please let me know. Again, I'm sorry it did not initially meet your reading standards.

Thank you again for reviewing.

ErinTurnsPages I’m sorry a scene caused you flashbacks, that’s never easy to have happen, but certainly not the authors intention. This series is heavy and not for everybody, but it certainly doesn’t call for cursing at the author in your review. That was completely unnecessary.
