Randy Money Hi, all.

Time to nominate a group read for July 2025.

Let's center this one around sports and games leading into or played during summer: basketball? baseball? soccer? lacrosse? tennis? badminton? croquet? lawn darts at twenty paces? If you know a novel in which the murder weapon is a hacky sack or a corn hole bag, go for it!

As usual,
1. Do NOT nominate your own book
2. Please check the group's bookshelf to make sure that we haven't read your nomination in the past two years
3. If your nomination wins the poll, you will be the group discussion leader.

Randy Money Please correct me if I'm wrong, but so far the only nominations that appear to feature a sport are,

The Running Club by Ali Lowe

Mortal Stakes by Robert B. Parker

The Brothers Kenney by Adam Mitzner

Odds Against by Dick Francis

Murder Most Equine: A Turtle Cove Cozy Mystery by Capri Winslow

Better Off Dead by Glenda Carroll

Dinked: Serenity Acres: Where Secrets Barely Stay Hidden by Crystal Quast

and

Home Run by Heidi McLaughlin (which doesn't appear to be in the mystery/crime genre, but does have a sport)

Anything else? We can broaden it out to include any sport, not just summer sports, if that helps.

you post it here and it has to meet the requirements of the first post in the thread = has to include a summer sport and be a mystery and not a book you've written

out of curiosity, what summer sport is involved in it?

message 27: by Randy (new)

Randy Money Hi, all. I've updated the list.

Sophia, like CB said, you're in the right place. Post your nomination here and as long as it contains some summer sport, I'll add it to the above list and add it to the poll when I create it next week.

Randy Money Hi, Nike.

I think a couple of titles were nominated twice. If that happens and the book tops the poll, I announce the first nominator as the discussion lead.
