Maybe you should have read a synopsis or better yet, the book before sharing what must be the sad life you have.

yesss...lots of simple meals with cabbage involved
unrelated but have you read the YOU series? by caroline kepnes? if not, consider this a book recommendation. i think you would love it
I dunno if this was really that much less questionable. He just swapped out the scary sexy woman for an eerie autistic-coded kid
Well, I think the reason everybody’s being so snarky to you is because you haven’t read the book or the blurb, and yet you have this agenda that you want to put on the book and the author that just isn’t there. It would be more valid if your opinion was based on having read the book.
Don’t forget the whiff of pedophilia. In any event, you’re not that far off. We also have the usual homing in on said bumbling man cooking pasta and waxing on about whiskey and either jazz or classical music.
Emma, I went into it thinking the exact same thing. I’m only about 10% into the book but it feels like a sequel to Hard-Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World to me.
I have read the synopsis and I ended up having to do a double-take on the title because it sounds very much like his "Hardboiled wonderland" book.

I'm about halfway through this meander and this review is actually quite helpful for the lay of the land 🤔
