Off to the Races by Elsie Silver, Stolen Heart by Ivy Layne, The New York Charm by Riley Winters! All KU books too 🥰
I usually read novellas or manga when I’m in a slump!
Manga: marriage toxin, chainsaw man, Tokyo aliens
Novellas: Abby Jimenez, Christina c. Jones I think I might collection, anything by Kimberly Lemming is fast paced, funny, and spicy 😄
i was going through that same thing a few weeks ago and i started the perfectly imperfect series by neva altaj and it helped so much!
I’d recommend reading a novella, rereading a comfort book or listening to an audiobook. The naturals series got me thru my slump and reading it on kindle helped too bc I always read books so much faster on iy
i'm planning to read the conditions of will soon bcz it seems interesting! i read dance of thieves and i don't think it's good for someone in a slump (it's good but it does drag) maybe a quick mystery book (i'm thinking agggtm) could help as well?
bad dark romances always get me out of my slump lol. some recs: fiery little thing, zodiac academy, the lies we told by monty jay, alluring darkness by raven wood and the monster trilogy by rina kent
other than cringy dark romances these are also good for slumps: ironside academy series by jane washington, you deserve each other, magnolia parks, mindfck series (ig this is also a dark romance but i wouldnt put it in the same group as the others)
also ya mystery/ thrillers are great. holly jacksons books always do the job
Since a few readers have recommended a novella or a thriller, here's an excellent book that's both: The Hunter’s Craft: Confessions of a Serial Killer
It's a quick read, fiction, that will have you questioning if some of it might be real.
