Sumiko Nakano Thank you for reading Daughters of Wars and for taking the time to leave a detailed review. Two stars might sting a bit, but I actually appreciate your honesty—it’s clear you read with attention, and that means something.

You’re not wrong about the repetition. Describing how the sisters move—especially in the way one signs—was a deliberate choice. For me, signing isn’t just communication; it’s presence, expression, even defiance. But I get it—when phrasing starts looping, it can pull a reader out instead of drawing them in. And yes… “palpable” had way too much screen time. It’s been handled.

Interestingly, I addressed a lot of those issues in Book 2, The Broken Oath, which I just released last week. Cleaner flow, sharper rhythm, less echo. The sisters still carry weight in every move—but I’ve learned how to say more with less.

Thanks again for staying with the story—even if you had to skim a little. Sometimes what matters isn’t reading every word, but feeling the war between them.
